The Embassy of Sweden in Abuja has announced an open Logo Design Competition to commemorate 65 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Nigeria, offering a cash prize of ₦650,000 to the winning entry.
The competition is open to artists, designers, and creative professionals from both Sweden and Nigeria, and is part of activities lined up for the 2026 anniversary celebration. The selected logo will serve as the official visual identity for the Sweden–Nigeria 65th anniversary and will be used across events, publications, and digital platforms throughout the year.
Theme and Design Focus
Entries are expected to align with the anniversary theme:
“Sweden and Nigeria at 65 – Building Tomorrow Today.”
Designs should reflect the long-standing relationship between both countries while also presenting a forward-looking perspective. Organisers stated that submissions must clearly incorporate:
The number “65”
The wording “Sweden–Nigeria” or “Sweden and Nigeria”
Designers are encouraged to create concepts that work across different formats, including official print materials, digital platforms, and event branding.
Technical Requirements
Submitted logos must be:
Provided in both colour and black-and-white versions
Designed in a scalable vector format
Suitable for high-quality reproduction in print and digital use
Accepted file formats include PDF, PNG, or high-resolution JPEG.

Each submission must include the following:

A signed Consent and Copyright Agreement

Only entries that fully meet the submission guidelines will be considered.
Selection and Jury Process
The winning logo will be selected by a jury made up of representatives from:

The Swedish Trade and Invest Council (Business Sweden) Office in Lagos
Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Youth Development
The judging process will focus on creativity, relevance to the theme, clarity of concept, and adaptability across platforms.
Prize and Recognition
The overall winner will receive a cash prize of ₦650,000, payable by invoice or provided in kind. In addition to the prize, selected designs will be featured on the official social media platforms of the Swedish Embassy and related partners, offering creators increased visibility and recognition.
The winner is scheduled to be announced on 20 February 2026.
