The Embassy of Sweden in Abuja has announced an open Logo Design Competition to commemorate 65 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Nigeria, offering a cash prize of ₦650,000 to the winning entry.

The competition is open to artists, designers, and creative professionals from both Sweden and Nigeria, and is part of activities lined up for the 2026 anniversary celebration. The selected logo will serve as the official visual identity for the Sweden–Nigeria 65th anniversary and will be used across events, publications, and digital platforms throughout the year.

Theme and Design Focus

Entries are expected to align with the anniversary theme:

“Sweden and Nigeria at 65 – Building Tomorrow Today.”

Designs should reflect the long-standing relationship between both countries while also presenting a forward-looking perspective. Organisers stated that submissions must clearly incorporate:

  • The number “65”

  • The wording “Sweden–Nigeria” or “Sweden and Nigeria”

Designers are encouraged to create concepts that work across different formats, including official print materials, digital platforms, and event branding.
