The Federal Government has opened the application portal for the 2026 Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) 2.0, offering young Nigerian graduates the opportunity to gain paid work experience while earning a monthly stipend of ₦150,000.

The programme is designed to tackle graduate unemployment by placing qualified youths in public and private sector organisations across Nigeria for a period of 12 months. NJFP 2.0 is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Applications for the 2026 cycle are now open, and eligible candidates are encouraged to apply early, as selection is competitive.

What Is the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP)?

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme is a Federal Government initiative created to help recent graduates transition from school into the workforce.

Under the programme, selected fellows are matched with host organizations where they receive structured job placements, hands-on work experience, and professional exposure in their chosen fields.

Unlike short training schemes, NJFP focuses on real jobs, real responsibilities, and practical experience that improves long-term employability.

NJFP 2.0 Monthly Stipend and Benefits

Successful applicants under NJFP 2.0 will receive:

  • ₦150,000 monthly stipend for 12 months

  • Full-time work placement in a verified host organisation

  • Opportunity to gain industry-relevant experience

  • Exposure to professional work environments

  • Career development and networking opportunities

  • Improved chances of securing permanent employment after the fellowship

The stipend is paid throughout the fellowship period and is meant to support participants while they build work experience.

Who Can Apply for NJFP 2.0?

The 2026 Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme is open to young Nigerian graduates who meet the following conditions:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen

  • Must be 30 years old or below

  • HND holders must have at least Upper Credit (3.00 and above)

  • Must have completed NYSC or have a valid exemption certificate

  • Must not be currently employed

  • Must be available for a full 12-month placement

The programme is open to graduates from all fields, including arts, sciences, social sciences, engineering, education, business, and technology.

  • Non-governmental organisations

  • Development and policy organisations

Work placements cover all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), giving applicants the chance to work close to home or in new environments.

Can Previous Applicants Apply Again?

However, first-time applicants must complete the full application process on the official portal.

How to Apply for NJFP 2.0 (2026)

Interested and eligible candidates should apply through the official application portal:

Applicants are advised to ensure all information provided is accurate, as false details may lead to disqualification.

Why NJFP is Beneficial to Nigerian Graduates

Graduate unemployment remains a major challenge in Nigeria. Many young people leave school without the work experience employers demand.

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme helps bridge this gap by:

  • Providing paid work experience

  • Reducing the skills-to-employment gap

  • Supporting young professionals during early career stages

  • Connecting graduates with real employers

For many participants, NJFP serves as a stepping stone to permanent employment or better career opportunities.

Important Advice for Applicants

  • Apply early to avoid last-minute issues

  • Ensure documents are clear and valid

  • Use a professional email and phone number

  • Be honest about qualifications and work status

Final Note

The 2026 NJFP 2.0 offers a rare opportunity for unemployed Nigerian graduates to earn a stable income while gaining valuable work experience.

With a ₦150,000 monthly stipend, nationwide placements, and government backing, the programme remains one of the most practical graduate support initiatives in Nigeria today.

Interested applicants should visit the official NJFP portal and complete their application before the deadline.
