The Lagos State Government has officially opened the recruitment portal for the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), inviting qualified residents to apply for the SSCE Cadre across all Local Government Areas in the state.

The recruitment exercise is being conducted through the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) and targets the engagement of Neighbourhood Safety Officers under Group B. The initiative is part of the state’s ongoing effort to strengthen community safety, improve grassroots security, and promote civic responsibility at the neighbourhood level.

According to the agency, successful applicants will work closely with existing security agencies, traditional institutions, and community leaders to support intelligence gathering, neighbourhood monitoring, and crime prevention within their local areas.

The recruitment is open to Lagos State residents who meet the following requirements:

Applicants must be physically and medically fit
Applicants must be of good character and must not have any criminal record
Applicants must be able to read and write effectively

Both male and female applicants are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the stated conditions.

Nature of the Job

Neighbourhood Safety Officers play a vital role in maintaining peace and order at the community level. Their duties include community surveillance, reporting suspicious activities, assisting during emergencies, supporting traffic control when needed, and working with law enforcement agencies to enhance local security.

The role is designed to promote community ownership of security while providing employment opportunities for youths across the state.

The application process is free and strictly online. Interested applicants are required to complete the following steps:

Visit the official LNSC recruitment portal
Fill in the online application form accurately
Upload required documents, including SSCE result and recent passport photograph
Review all entries carefully before submission
Print or save the acknowledgment slip after submission

Applicants are advised to keep their login details safe, as they may be required for future updates, screening information, or further stages of the recruitment process.

Important Notice

There is currently no official closing date for the recruitment portal. However, applicants are strongly advised to apply early, as late applications may not be considered once the portal is closed.

The Lagos State Government has warned applicants to avoid third-party agents, as the recruitment process is free and does not require payment at any stage.
