The Federal Government has opened applications for the Empowering Women in Cybersecurity Programme through the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

The initiative is being organised in partnership with the Women in Cybersecurity Nigeria Affiliate as a one day capacity building programme focused on increasing female participation in cybersecurity and digital technology.

One Day Cybersecurity Training for Nigerian Women

The programme is designed for Nigerian women who are at the early stage of their technology careers or those planning to move into cybersecurity.

According to the organisers, the training will provide practical demonstrations and basic hands on experience with cybersecurity tools and techniques. Participants will gain foundational knowledge that can support further study, professional certification, or entry level roles in the field.

Cybersecurity has become a growing area within Nigeria’s digital economy. As businesses, banks, and government services move online, the demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals continues to rise.
