Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has opened applications for a fully funded music training program that will support 100 upcoming African artists. The initiative, under the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, will provide selected participants with professional training, mentorship, and direct access to experienced music industry leaders. The four-day intensive program, scheduled to hold in Lagos in April 2026, is designed to equip young creatives with practical skills in music production, songwriting, sound engineering, and the business side of music.
The foundation’s first major project is the “Berklee In Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program.” The program will take place in Lagos from April 23 to April 26, 2026.
It is being organized in partnership with the Berklee College of Music, one of the most respected music schools in the world. During the four-day program, 100 selected participants will receive professional training in:

The business side of music
Participants will learn directly from experienced instructors and music professionals. The training will focus on practical knowledge, real studio sessions, songwriting development, and understanding how the music industry works both locally and internationally.
The program will also provide mentorship sessions where participants can ask questions, receive guidance, and build professional relationships that may help their careers.

Supporting Young African Talent
Through this foundation, Tiwa Savage aims to create more opportunities for African artists who want structured training and direct exposure to industry professionals. Many talented young musicians struggle to access quality education and professional networks. This program is designed to provide both.
By bringing Berklee’s training model to Nigeria, the initiative will allow participants to gain international-level music knowledge without leaving the country. It also strengthens collaboration between African creatives and global institutions.
Tiwa Savage stated that the foundation is focused on creating opportunities for young creatives to grow, develop their skills, and build sustainable careers in music.
The Tiwa Savage Music Foundation marks an important step in expanding music education and professional development opportunities across Africa.
