The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) 2.0 has updated the application status of candidates who successfully passed the computer-based test (CBT), marking the conclusion of the Video Verification stage of the recruitment process.

Applicants can now log into their NJFP dashboard to view their Application Progress, which shows a full summary of each stage completed and the outcome so far. This update follows the review of video submissions, a compulsory screening step scored over 100 points.

For some candidates, the dashboard currently displays a “Rejected” status. The programme has provided clear feedback for affected applicants, with a system message stating: “Your application has been rejected by the TMC. Please review the reasons below.” Each rejected applicant can see a Review Comment explaining why their application did not progress further.

The reasons for disqualification vary. In addition to the rejection notice, applicants are shown their Video Verification score, such as 35/100, to indicate performance at that stage. One review comment sighted states: “Reason for Rejection: Currently undergoing Master’s Degree Program.”

According to the NJFP process, applicants may be disqualified if they are engaged in full-time academic or professional commitments that could interfere with the mandatory internship. The Video Verification stage is designed to confirm eligibility and ensure that selected fellows can fully participate in the programme without conflicting obligations.

NJFP 2.0 has made it clear that this screening phase also serves to filter out candidates who do not meet the programme’s conditions, even if they performed well in earlier assessments. This includes issues related to availability, ongoing studies, or other engagements that may affect internship participation.

Applicants are advised to check their status only through the official NJFP portal at https://portal.njfp.ng/prospective/ and to rely solely on information displayed on their dashboard. Regular monitoring is recommended, as all official updates and system messages are communicated through the platform.

For candidates who have been rejected, the programme has not indicated any appeal window at this stage. Applicants are therefore encouraged to review the feedback carefully and watch for future opportunities under NJFP or similar national programmes.

Ngempower will continue to monitor official updates from the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme and provide clear explanations to help applicants understand each stage of the process.
