Nigeria Police Opens Recruitment Portal for 50,000 Constable Positions for 2026 Intake
The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has officially announced the commencement of recruitment for 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.

Recruitment Approved to Boost Community Policing

Qualifications for General Duty Applicants
Candidates applying under the General Duty Cadre must have:
GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent qualifications
A minimum of five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics
Results obtained in no more than two sittings
Qualifications for Specialist Cadre Applicants
Applicants for the Specialist Cadre must have:
GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalents
At least four (4) credits, including English Language and Mathematics
Results in no more than two sittings
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the relevant field
Required Trade Tests or recognised certifications
Specialist fields include mechanics, drivers, medical assistants, ICT personnel, communications, artisans, tailoring, marine operations, and other technical support roles.
Eligibility Requirements

Be aged 18–25 years for General Duty
Be aged 18–28 years for Specialists
Be medically, physically and psychologically fit
